Parking can be difficult in the big city unless you have some idea what you’re doing. The Vortex does not own, lease or maintain any parking facility for our Midtown location, but there are ample “Pay-to-Park” style parking lots and decks available throughout the neighborhood. There is also metered and non-metered parking on the streets. Wherever you park, please read and obey all posted signage to avoid being ticketed, booted or towed. And always secure your valuables. Below are a few links to some options that you might find helpful.
CITY OF ATLANTA PARKING GUIDE
ATL Plus allows you to locate on-street metered parking spaces in many of Atlanta’s business districts.
Parkopedia is a downloadable app that allows you to find the closest parking to your destination.
BICYCLE SHARING SERVICES
Relay Bike Share allows you to rent and reserve shared bicycles around the city.
RIDE SHARING SERVICES
Safe Ride America offers three unique services to pro-actively prevent all types of impaired driving. They do the driving so you don’t have to.
MARTA operates Atlanta’s public transportation system. The Midtown train station is only about a block and a half north of our Midtown location. Bus service is also available throughout the city.
All seating is first-come, first-served. We do not take reservations or offer phone-ahead seating. Large parties are discouraged during peak business periods. Sidewalk patio dining may be available, weather permitting.
The Vortex is a neighborhood bar. We do not specialize in “take-out” service, so our “dine-in” guests will always be our first priority. Therefore, phone-in take-out service may be suspended during peak business periods. After 8:00pm, take-out orders can only be placed in-person with the bartender, and must be paid for at the time the order is placed. CLICK HERE for more information about our take-out policies.
The Laughing Skull Lounge Comedy Club is located inside The Vortex-Midtown, but The Vortex is not responsible for the operation of this venue. Therefore, we will NOT be able to assist you with any inquiries about this club. You can CLICK HERE to visit their website.
