Welcome to the big city, kids. Parking can be a bitch, unless you have some idea what you’re doing. The Vortex does not own or maintain an exclusive parking facility, but parking lots and decks are available throughout Midtown, and there is also metered and non-metered parking on the streets. Wherever you park, please read and obey all posted signage to avoid being ticketed, booted or towed and always secure your valuables.
The Vortex has compiled a Parking Brochure as a courtesy to our patrons. While we do our best to keep this reference material up-to-date, please be aware that all information contained in this document is subject to change without notice. You can download a PDF of our Parking Brochure here.
We suggest using the parking resource Parkopedia. You can download their mobile app to look for parking in the area or even reserve a spot.
STREET PARKING MAP
The parking enforcement company, Park-Atlanta, has created a map of available street parking in Midtown. Click here to view or print Park Atlanta’s map of metered parking.
TAXIS AND RIDE SHARING SERVICES
Safe Ride America offers three unique services to pro-actively prevent all types of impaired driving. They do the driving so you don’t have to. Check them out.
You can find and reserve shared bicycles through Relay Bike Share. Click here to find out more information.
This Vortex location is also accessible via the Midtown Marta Train Station which is located 1 block north, and 1/2 block west of us, between Peachtree Place and 10th Street.
All seating is first-come, first-served. We do not take reservations or offer call-ahead seating. Large parties are discouraged during peak business periods. Sidewalk patio dining is available, weather permitting.
We love the pups, but apparently Fulton County does not. Therefore, in accordance with local regulations, our patio is not dog-friendly.
The Vortex is a neighborhood bar. It is not really a “take-out” restaurant, so our “dine-in” guests will always be our first priority. Therefore, phone-in take-out service may be suspended during peak business periods. After 8:00pm, take-out orders can only be placed in-person with the bartender, and must be paid for at the time the order is placed.
The Laughing Skull Lounge Comedy Club is located inside The Vortex-Midtown. The Vortex does not operate this venue, therefore we are not able to assist you with inquiries about this club.
